Meet the Owner
Jake Bortner
Built on hard work, practical problem-solving, and a lifelong interest in creative technology, Jake brings a hands-on approach to every media project. From an early age, he enjoyed learning how things worked, solving problems, and finding ways to make ideas come together clearly and effectively.
Jake loves using technology to tell stories — whether that means capturing a meaningful moment on camera, shaping a video that communicates clearly, or using creative tools to help the message come through. He enjoys the process behind the scenes: setting up gear, troubleshooting issues, shaping visuals, and creating work that feels polished without becoming distracting.
Professionally, Jake has experience as a Project Manager for a company specializing in commercial audio, video, and lighting. In that role, he oversees projects, coordinates details, solves technical challenges, and keeps jobs moving from start to finish.
He now brings that same organized, detail-focused approach to his own media work with a simple goal: clear communication, dependable production, and media that supports the story without getting in the way.

Why Seneca Maple?
When deciding on a name, Jake wanted something to pay homage to his grandparents, so he named it after the streets they lived on. His Grammy and PopPop and Grandma and Grandpa are big inspirations of his. He wants their values and traits to be part of the company. His PopPops sociability and problem solving. His Grammys generosity and thoughtfulness. His Grandpas selflessness and positivity. And his Grandmas care and faith.
